While our company is new, the expertise behind it is not — DS-IT brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure, systems management, and public-sector technology support.

Our Name, Our Story
At first glance, the name Data Systems-IT might seem like a straightforward description of what we do — and in many ways, it is. We work with computer networks, manage critical data infrastructure, and operate squarely within the realm of information technology. But the name carries a deeper meaning, one rooted in over two decades of dedicated service to the United States Navy.
Our founder began his naval career as a Data Systems Technician (DS), a rating that placed him at the intersection of advanced electronics, communications, and mission-critical network systems. Over the course of a distinguished 20-year career, the Navy retired the DS rating and transitioned its personnel into the Information Technology Technician (IT) rating — a transition that reflected the ever-evolving nature of technology itself. That journey, from DS to IT, is exactly where our company name was born.
